- Eswatini does not require Smallpox vaccination certificates from people visiting the country.
- Travellers coming from an endemic Yellow Fever area are advised to have valid inoculation certificates upon entry into Eswatini. Eswatini is not in the endemic zone.
- Malaria has now been largely controlled, but anyone intending to spend time in the Lowveld, particularly the low-lying rivers, are advised to take simple anti-Malaria precautions. People coming from areas with Malaria and subsequently visiting Eswatini are also asked to take precautions. Anti-malaria tablets are available from government hospitals, health centres and clinics or pharmacies.
- Bilharzia, although controlled in certain areas, is a major health hazard and it is unwise to bathe in some rivers, streams and some dams in Eswatini.
- Eswatini requires that all travellers visiting the Kingdom from countries where Cholera cases had been reported, be in possession of a valid Cholera vaccination certificate.
- Persons visiting Eswatini without prior vaccination against Yellow Fever or Cholera will be expected to undergo vaccination at any of the Kingdom’s Public Health Units, subject to a minimal charge. Vaccinations are obtainable from Public Health Units on Fridays and Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm and on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
- Attached below is the disease surveillance form which is to be filled by all travellers and produced at the ports of entry of Eswatini.
