Manzini Mayor, Goodwill Dlamini, said there were fruitful marriages born from the Embiveni Biggest Braai.

Dlamini said the event brought together a number of people from all walks of life; not only nationally, but beyond borders to socialise and network.
He said he had learnt that business deals were clinched through the networking opportunities that came with the event.

“Marriages are also born from this event, which is something that we do not take lightly and will be forever grateful for. Moreover, we are pleased with the formal and informal sectors that also benefit significantly from the Embiveni Biggest Braai,” said Dlamini.

According to the mayor, council recently formalised their partnership with Embiveni Biggest Braai and as a result, during this year’s event a percentage of vending spaces had been reserved and allocated to citizens of the city.

“The council does not take lightly the event and socio-economic impact being brought to the city, which we are immensely forever grateful for,” said Dlamini.

He then welcomed attendees to the vibrant city of Manzini, which was, for the sixth year now, the proud host for the Embiveni Biggest Braai.
He further affirmed the sense of pride that the city was taking in being trusted with an event of this magnitude.

“As the city of Manzini we would like to express our appreciation to Her Majesty the Indlovukazi for the long-lasting partnership with Philani Maswati Charity Organisation towards this event,” said Dlamini.

He added that the council was also excited to be hosting most of the entertainers from the City of Manzini.

“All of these are fruits of the partnership with Philani Maswati. Please enjoy the 2024 Embiveni Biggest Braai and whatever you do, please do it responsibly,” he said.  He added that he Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) had assured safety for the event.
